Commissioning original artwork, illustrations and designs couldn't be easier.
You work with Charlotte every step of the way to ensure you get the perfect artwork every time.

Here's how it works step by step......

Step Two
Charlotte asks you questions and creates a full written quote (usually by email) based on your specifications

Step Three
Charlotte creates intial sketches/draft designs for you to choose from.

Step Four
Charlotte develops the initial sketches into a final sketch/ draft design.

Step Five
When you are happy for the final sketch to be developed into the finished artwork Charlotte asks for a deposit/retainer of 30%

Step Six
Charlotte creates your final artwork, you are kept updated with it's development so that changes can be made where necessary.

Step Seven
You approve that the final artwork is complete

Step Eight
Charlotte Invoices you. Payment is taken via Cheque, BACS, Paypal or other arrangement.

Step Nine
Upon receipt of payment Charlotte delivers the final artwork as pre-arranged. (either by mail, email or personal delivery depending on the commission)

Payment Methods

UK

Charlotte accepts all major credit cards via Paypal, Direct bank transfers (BACS), Cheques drawn from UK bank acocunts, Cash and Postal Orders delivered by hand.

USA & Europe

Payment can be accepted in US Dollars $ and Euros via Paypal and by International Bank Transfers.

Delivery

Original Artwork which is posted to the client will be sent 'signed for' special delivery, insured to the value of their commission, unless otherwise requested by the client. Please note this requires someone to be available to sign for the package.

Prints will be sent first class post, or special delivery if over the value of £50.00

Privacy Policy

Your e-mail address, postal address, or any other personal information that is shared during the commission process will never be used for anything other than that specific purpose, nor will it be shared with a third party. All data is used in compliance with the UK Data Protection Act.

Copyright and Useage

Buying artwork, even a commission, does not transfer the copyright to you — unless you explicitly purchase the usage rights. There are limitations to how Charlottes work can be used without suitable compensation.

Personal commissions -

Acceptable use - Display in your home, social networking and personal websites/blogs (please credit the artist where you can!), printed for your home or any private personal use.

Please Do Not -
Use images commercially, i.e. do not make any money directly or indirectly from their publication;
Use them to advertise or represent anything, e.g. on a poster or flyer for an event, business cards, a website with any commercial business purpose unless it directly promotes the artist.
Distribute them eg - as stationary, tshirts, mugs, stickers, on cd disk, as tattoo flash.
Alter the images other than proportional resizing.

Commercial/Business Commissions and Buying Image Rights

Acceptable use
To promote an event or your business to the public on free printed material (eg postcards, flyers, posters, free gifts)

Please do Not -

Use on items you intend to sell at a profit - eg, tshirt designs, mugs, stationary . For this you must purchase usage rights.

Merchandise and Profitable Products

When commissioning merchandise designs or designs which will be used on material/products to be resold at a profit, Charlotte will negotiate an appropriate fee for the useage rights in accordance to how the image will be used, how and where it will be sold and distributed and the period of time the image is required for. This includes printing logo or branding designs onto sellable/profitable products.

Options may include a flat fee or a small initial payment with commission taken by the artist on sales of your product.

Items include - tshirts, badges, stationary, mugs, greetings cards etc.
